Toshiba Transmission & Distribution Systems (India) Pvt. Ltd.contributes INR 20lakhs to Telangana Chief Minister Relief Fund to support the fight against COVID-19

22 June 2020 - Telangana - With its guiding principle "Committed to People, Committed to the Future", at the core of its CSR activities, Toshiba Transmission & Distribution System (India) Pvt. Ltd.(TTDI) has contributed INR 20lakhs to Telangana Chief Minister Relief Fund to support the fight against COVID-19

Mr. Hiroshi Kaneta, Chairman & Managing Director, TTDI said, "The COVID-19 crisis is the toughest trial humanity faces in decades. As the Government of India continues to address this outbreak, state governments are working along purposefully to ensure relief work. Through our humble contribution of INR 20lakhs to Telangana Chief Minister's Relief Fund, we stand in support of these efforts in every way possible. Additionally, TTDI employees have also donated voluntary salary deduction from their May 2020 salary"

Mr. Hiroshi Kaneta along with Mr. Katsushi Morimoto, Director (HR & Legal), Mr. G.A. Ramakrishna, GM (HR) and other HR team members from Toshiba along with union representatives handed over the cheque to honourable minister for Municipal Administration & Urban Development, Industries & IT&C, Mr. K T Ramarao at his camp office in Hyderabad. The Minister expressed his gratitude to employees and management of TTDI for their gesture. While handing over the cheque, Smt. Satyavathi Rathod, minister of Schedule Tribes Welfare, Women and Child Welfare in Telangana state cabinet was also present.

A total of approximately INR 2.28 crore have been donated by Toshiba group companies in India. The contributions include voluntary salary contribution by Toshiba employees as well as from Toshiba group companies namely Toshiba India Pvt. Ltd. (TIPL), Toshiba Transmission & Distribution Systems (India) Pvt. Ltd. (TTDI), Toshiba JSW Power System Pvt. Ltd. (TJPS), Toshiba Software India Pvt. Ltd. (TSIP), Toshiba Water Solutions Pvt. Ltd. (TWS) and Toshiba Johnson Elevators (India) Pvt. Ltd. (TJEI) in India.
